Please enter a name

Gen 2:19 So the LORD took some soil and made animals and birds. He brought them to the man to see what names he would give each of them. Then the man named the tame animals and the birds and the wild animals. That's how they got their names.

I like playing RPGs. And one of the most fun part for me is naming the characters, the pets, the team, the castle, the vehicles. I even stopped at naming screens an take some time to think first. I even had planned on names before I played the game.

We all love giving names : to our blog, our pets, our computer, our car, our brand, our product, and of course our babies. In fact, God did create man to give names. The first job God gave to the man is to give names. That's why we love names.

If you ever wonder why chicken is named chicken, why elephant is called elephant, why monkey is known as monkey, that's the work of the first man. Coz that's how they got their names :D

Get Some Rest !

Gen 2:2 By the seventh day God had finished his work, and so he rested. Gen 2:3 God blessed the seventh day and made it special because on that day he rested from his work.

Why do we have to sleep ? Why do we get tired if we lack of sleep ?
God told us to sleep. He Himself also took rest !
He taught us about balance. You must work, but you must also have rest.
My girlfriend's dad who was a doctor, died of stroke because of overworking and lack of rest.

Sleep is good for us. When we sleep, our body replenish itself, recover the broken tissues, and renew our cells. Our brain also needs sleep. We may have memory problems, headache, body balance problem, and even emotional disorder if we didn't have enough sleep.

So...just don't overwork yourself.
Everything in this world needs balance.
Work well, and sleep well too :D

Here's a very very useful link :

Now I wonder... do God still have rest now ?
Or maybe He haven't finished His work, so He couldn't rest just yet ?

Fruit and Grains

Gen 1:29 I have provided all kinds of fruit and grain for you to eat.

Gen 1:30 And I have given the green plants as food for everything else that breathes.
These will be food for animals, both wild and tame, and for birds.

How often do you eat fruits and grains ? We eat grains daily (bread, oatmeal, rice), but maybe we don't eat fruits everyday. It's quite surprising, that God told us to eat fruits and grains.
I looked up in the internet and find interesting facts about fruits and grains.

For example...
1. Oatmeal. Oats contain soluble fiber that binds with and helps remove some of the cholesterol which can clog your arteries and lead to heart disease.

I just started eating oatmeals for breakfast. Not just because I couldn't stand heavy food for breakfast (I do, nowadays... I wonder why ?), but also quick to cook (instant is nice XD ), kinda cheap (cheaper than Kellog's) and I love it too, it tastes great (don't forget to add salt).

I tried combining oatmeals with strawberry slices... oh, and it tastes really really GOOD ! You you have to try it !

2. Strawberry. Anti oxidant power. Anti cancer. Anti stroke. Anti allergy. Anti aging. Anti cavity. And I combined it with the anti heart disease oatmeal. I just had a super healthy cheap and delicious breakfast !!! :D :D :D

There are lots more of oatmeals and fruits power.
Check www.thefruitpages.com , http://health.learninginfo.organd www.quakeroatmeal.com
There're also interesting recipees there.
Delicious, healthy, and so according to the bible !

I wonder about the green plants... It was supposed to be food for animals.
It is true that you shouldn't overconsume green plants...
Is it because they actually didn't meant for us to eat ?

Giant Sea Monsters

Still in Genesis 1
There's something very cool here...
Gen 1:20 God said, "I command the ocean to be full of living creatures, and I command birds to fly above the earth."
Gen 1:21 So God made the giant sea monsters and all the living creatures that swim in the ocean. He also made every kind of bird. God looked at what he had done, and it was good.

Giant sea monsters... did it talk about whale ? But I don't think that whale is monster.
The first things that came in my mind when I heard about giant sea monsters are...
Leviathan... Lochness monster... dragon... giant serpent...

I always got a thing about RPGs, epic movies, medieval era, and this thing is really make me excited. The most cool things about those are the mystic, fantasy creatures - pegasus, centaurs, unicorns, dragons, leviathans... Any medieval lovers must have known them all. And Leviathan is a water element summon in Final Fantasy ! And it's in the bible ! (Of course, the FF creators used bible as their reference). So can't you see that bible is sooo cool... Even great games are inspired by bible - God for exactly -
You just can't keep away from God. He's the source of all creative ideas.

God created leviathans... there are some leviathans in another books...

Psa 74:14 You crushed the heads of the monster Leviathan, then fed him to wild creatures in the desert.
Psa 104:26 And there are the ships, as well as Leviathan, the monster you created to splash in the sea.
Isa 27:1 On that day, Leviathan, the sea monster, will squirm and try to escape, but the LORD will kill him with a cruel, sharp sword.

So... I wonder, is there still any leviathan in this world ?

Or maybe it has some kind of link with dinosaurs...

The Beginning

I'm just starting to re-read my never been completely read bible. I did read it, but never completely. Thank God, we now have e-sword, and for it has a contemporary english version, reading bible is so much fun and so easy to understand (at least much easier than the Indonesian version, with so many difficult words >< ).

Well, let's start together... oh and I'm also trying not to just read it, but to find new things,
new inspiring light... and I'm not going to find things that already been told by pastors, preachers, etc... I'm an artist/designer, so I must find something different...
Something creative... I just know that God is super creative... I just wanna find it out more ^^

Okay here we go...

I start with Genesis 1...

Oh, there's something nice here...

Gen 1:6 God said, "I command a dome to separate the water above it from the water below it."
Gen 1:7 And that's what happened.
Gen 1:9 God said, "I command the water under the sky to come together in one place, so there will be dry ground." And that's what happened.
Gen 1:11 God said, "I command the earth to produce all kinds of plants, including fruit trees and grain." And that's what happened.
Gen 1:14 God said, "I command lights to appear in the sky and to separate day from night and to show the time for seasons, special days, and years.
Gen 1:15 I command them to shine on the earth." And that's what happened.

Hey, I just got new inspiration...
Whatever God said... that's what happened...
That's so cool... I mean, have we ever ask for something happen ?
Like, I want to upgrade my computer...
I could like just ask God to say, "I command your computer to upgrade itself !", and that's what happened. Isn't that incredible... coz whatever He said, it happened.

The thing is, how do we ask God to say that ?
